Chinese Mid-Autumn day is held each year on August 15 on the lunar calendar. This year September 11 is the Chinese Mid-Autumn day (this date changes each year, depending on the lunar calendar). We celebrate with many festivities, and always eat traditional "Moon cakes" with all kinds of fruit and other traditional food.
I still remember I like this festival a lot when I was a kid because in China, the schools will normally let the students go home earlier in any festivals (Hehe, not that I don't want to stay there). But one of the most important meaning of Mid-Autumn day is to let the whole family get together, have fun and enjoy the moment while watching the pretty full moon in the sky!
I miss my hometown a lot, but it doesn't matter because I know that we are looking at the same round round moon!
At last, wish you and Happy Mid Autumn Day and enjoy these special moon cakes, they look yummy, don't they : )!
